His big screen debut came in 1992′ “Condition: Critical” as Dr. Thaddeus Kocinski, but it wasn’t until two years later that Sorbo landed the role that made him famous. He scored the part of Hercules in the made-for-TV movie “Hercules and the Amazon Women” which was part of collection of films that eventually created the TV series “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”. He also reprised the role of Hercules for appearances on “Xena: Warrior Princess”. Other TV and film credits include “Kull the Conqueror”, “Andromeda”, “The O.C.”, “Two and a Half Men”, “Walking Tall”, “Avenging Angel” “Meet the Spartans” and “Abel’s Field”. He told of his ghost encounter he experienced in Minnesota when he claims to have met the Bride of White Rock Lake on an episode of “Celebrity Ghost Stories”. Sorbo has voiced several video games characters, including “God of War III”, “The Conduit” and “Cloudberry Kingdom”. He met his wife, Sam Jenkins, on the set of “Hercules” and they married in 1998. They have three children together: Braedon, Shane, and Octavia. He is an active philanthropist who publicly supports A World Fit for Kids!.
