Prince’s Estate Refuses Jay Z’s $40 Million Offer For His Unrevealed Music
Since Prince’s inauspicious passing this year, there has been a continuous fight among a few parties endeavoring to acquire the rights to the Purple Rain artist’s unreleased music. Jay Z was one of those whom hoping to purchase the Minnesota native’s fortune trove of tracks, putting in a critical offer in the wake of taking a seat with Prince’s sister Tyka prior this year. But things wouldn’t go Hov’s way this time around, and he might be looking for some legitimate activity from Prince’s estate too.
Recently, Jay Z put in a $40 million offer to buy Prince’s unreleased music. He made the offer subsequent to flying out Prince’s sister and her husband, Tyka and Maurice Phillips, to New York.
He supposedly was hoping to buy rights to stream the music of ‘His Purpleness’ all alone Tidal services at the meeting. Lamentably for Hov, Prince’s estate reacted to his offer this previous week, dismissing the potential power maneuver for the Brooklyn wordsmith.

The Prince’s estate has sent a letter to Jay Z team to refuse to the offer. They said that they are passing on the arrangement since they didn’t need “Roc Nation to misuse any of the intellectual property assets of the Estate.” Finally the estate has chosen to hand over the rights to the music to Universal Music Publishing Group.
